- There are several factors that go into valuing an aircraft—the main being the original sale price. Additionally, we look at airframe hours (based on average annual utilization) and engine values (derived from current overhaul invoices). These factors provide us with a comparative baseline.
- We then take a real estate appraisal approach by adjusting values relative to the subject aircraft. Years of data have allowed us to determine market value for various equipment upgrades and enhancements, cosmetic condition and more.
- Next, we generate a comparable value by computing all the adjustments and either adding or subtracting the total from the contracted or sale price of the comparable aircraft.
- We average the comparative market values amongst the comparable sold aircraft; resulting in an estimated fair market value for your aircraft.
